Reports To: Security Site Leads & Company Management
POSITION SUMMARY
The Armed Event Security Specialist is responsible for providing high-visibility protection, asset security, and incident response at International Sporting Event Supporting Sites. This role requires a blend of professional "command presence," tactical readiness, and elite customer service to ensure a safe environment for international athletes, VIPs, and thousands of global fans.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Secure restricted areas and partner assets.

Tactical Patrol: Conduct foot patrols of perimeters and parking structures to deter criminal activity, including petty crime, vandalism, or unauthorized entry.

Crowd Dynamics Management: Monitor large-scale crowd movements to identify and mitigate potential surges, "flash protests," or fan disturbances.

High-Stakes Response: Act as a first responder to security breaches or emergencies, coordinating via radio with the Safety & Security Operations Center (SSOC).

Documentation: Maintain detailed daily logs and prepare comprehensive Incident Reports for any security deviations or medical emergencies.
MANDATORY CALIFORNIA COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for this armed position under California law, candidates must possess and maintain:

Valid CA Guard Card: Current registration with the BSIS.

CA Firearms Permit: Must be exposed-carry authorized for the specific caliber of the duty weapon carried.

Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age (required for the BSIS Firearms Permit).

Training Completion: * BSIS "Power to Arrest" & "Appropriate Use of Force" (8 hours).

Completed 40 hours of required BSIS security training.

Active firearms qualification (requiring 4 range qualifications per year).

Legal Status: Must be a U.S. Citizen or have permanent legal alien status.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in armed security, executive protection, or law enforcement.

Communication: Proficiency in English is required; multilingual skills (Spanish, Portuguese, French, etc.) are highly preferred given the international nature of the event.

Technical Proficiency: Ability to operate digital radio systems, mobile reporting apps, and handheld scanners.

Physical Readiness: Ability to stand or walk for long shifts (10+ hours) in varying weather conditions and remain calm under extreme pressure.
